Use a normal tape measurer or a strip of paper just below the wrist bone, where you would normally wear a bracelet.

The bracelet is a Christmas present for my boyfriend, but I myself opened the box yesterday and saw the bracelet. Just as I had imagined it, the color was a nice light silver and not steel grey.
